Converting the size of athletes From Centimeters to Inches
When you are watching sports, Cat Deeley or Japanese Sushi TV, it gets confusing to determine how big these people are. This makes it difficult to enjoy the entertainment, since part of the contest would be the amazing potential according to size when the heights and pounds are recited in centimeters or kilograms, much of the point is lost. I thought of a quick way to at least determine the height of the individuals. This formula will let you see how yourself and your friends stack up next to the athletes etc. I am converting your height in inches to centimeters, you can them subtract from the performers to determine the difference compared to yourself.
Here it is: Take you height in inches e.g. 5 feet is 5 x 12 is 60 inches, Add 4 to 11 inches (most people) mine is 6 inches for a total of 66 inches. Divide this total by 8, Mine is 66/8=8.25 Now multiply this by 20
8.25 x 20= 165.00 So I am approximately 165 centimeters tall (this is slightly shy of the total of 167.6
-but will do for quick figuring) 20 centimeters is 7.9 inches
