Peppermint Icebox Cheesecake

via Superbly Slim and Lite.

Peppermint Icebox Cheesecake

1 8 oz package of fat-free cream cheese
3/4 cup half and half divided

about 1/3rd of an 8 oz container of whipped topping
sweetener to equal 2/3 cup of sugar
1 to 2 caps of peppermint extract–Watkins imitation
1/2 box sugar free vanilla or French vanilla instant pudding and pie filling(4srvg.)
8 inch round pie pan
non-stick cooking spray

soften cream cheese to room temperature

add 1/4 cup half and half blend with hand mixer until smooth on low to medium speed add peppermint extract and sweetening

combine instant pudding in another bowl with 2/4 (1/2) cup of half and half

Add whipped topping, a small amount to pudding, mix lightly
Add this to cream cheese, combine, add rest of whipped topping to this from about one third of an 8 ounce tub total.
Spread in 8 inch pie pan that is prepared with non-stick coating.
Dust with cocoa powder and a packet of splenda.

Refrigerate or freeze if not eating right away.

Tunic

The Back

Use size 11 US 14 inch single point needles.

3 skeins of Super Saver Red Heart, any color. This is linen.

Stitches Needed, Seed Stitch, Baby Cable, Striped Faggot Stitch and Ribbing Stitches.

Stitch Holders.

Ribbons, optional.

Set-in sleeves and tunic length with a wide jewel neckline.

Front, cast on 52 stitches with size 9 needles, work in rib for 2.5  inches.

Work in st. stitch next, 2 inches, then begin horizontal eyelet row, st. 2.75 inches, horizontal eyelet row, st. stch again-1.25 inches then Faggot Stripe stitch until armhole shaping.

Back, cast on 52 stitches, with size 9 needles, work in rib for 2.5 inches, then switch to size 11 needle one at a time to work in seed stitch until time to shape armholes, about 14-15 inches.

Seed Stitch, Multiple of 2 stitches

Row 1, k1, p1

Row 2, k1, p1 or purl into knit stitch and knit into purl stitch.

Sleeves: Cast on 39 stitches, make cuffs 5 inches with size 9 needles. Row 1- Knit 2, purl 1 around; row 2- purl 2, knit 1  for 4 rows, row 5 –wrong side–knit 5 purl 1, plus knit 3 at end, row 6, keeping pattern purl 5, knit 1. Repeat these rows until reaching 5 inches, Switch to size 11 needles and seed stitch. Increase stitch count to 50 by increasing 4 at 9 inches from edge of cuff, 4 at 12 inches from edge of cuff and 2 at 15 inches from edge of cuff.

 

Cuff finishing, backstitch on right side of cuff and purl 5 area in each center by knotting yarn to begin and starting near very edge of cuff, pull yarn that is doubled through once and then go over the cuff about one inch ahead of the strip of chain you will be making or 4 rows and then down and back under the same strand of yarn held double, come back up bringing the needle between the strand of yarn so they separate into a loop at the very place it ended–

Red Cotton Sweater

Cherry Red Cotton Knit

One Cone of Red Cotton Worsted Weight Yarn.

 

Low in Front and back, with a chest pocket, elbow length sleeves and size 11 needles is fairly fast to make.

Cast on 57 (with 11 needles) stitches for front and back lower rib edge. Work in 1 x 2 inch rib for 2 1/2 inches. Body measure 18 inches. Bind off for arms and decrease 6 per armhole, Make cavity for sleeve 8 inches from beginning of bind off and work straight stockinette to the shoulder from the lower ribbing, Increase 3 stitches in the body before reaching the sleeve area. Neck is bound off at 4 inches into the sleeve cavity depth by binding off 12 in the center and one or two stitches every other row until 12 stitches remain on the hook. When the sleeve depth is 8 inches bind off for shoulder.

Back– Work like front.

Pocket–Cast on 14 and work 2×2 rib for 1 inch, continue to work pocket in stockinette for 2 1/2 more inches, bind off. Crochet all around the three sides free form ribbing. Sew on left front chest with a size 16 darning needle and some more red cotton yarn.

Sleeves: Cast on 34 stitches on size 9 needles make 1×1 ribbing for 3 inches IBegin stockinette and change to size 11 needles. Work 3 inches even. In crease 6 stitches evenly spaced across next knit row, work 4 more inches, increase 6 stitches across the next row as before. 46 stitches. Work 2 1/2  more inches before binding off first three than 2 stitches at armhole edge, three on one knit row, purl even on 40 stitches, two on second knit row, work even on purl 36 stitches across. Work two rows even before decreasing one stitch every row both knit and purl. When you have 22  stitches remaining bind off.

Crochet one row of single crochet around neck edge after sewing shoulder seams. Sew top of sleeve in place and then side seams and underside of sleeves.

Super Saver Yarn: 2 Skeins Off White or Cream
2 Skeins Windsor Blue

Needles US 8 and 9 – 14 inch single point

Sleeves: Cast on size 8 needles and with Windsor Blue 42 and work one by one rib stitch for 5 inches. Change to needles size 9.
Work one inch of Windsor Blue in stockinette– knit one row, purl the next.

Change to off white yarn or cream or fisherman color, work 8 inches before changing back to Windsor Blue increasing 4 stitches every 4 inches, 2 on each side. Keep working like this with a stripe of 8 inches in each color once each, in the third strip you will bind off for underarm. Stripe on in white will increase 8 stitches total equalling 48 stitches, Stripe two will increase another 8 stitches equalling 56 stitches and the third strip is worked for four inches before increasing 4 stitches and equally 60 stitches which is the last increase for the sleeves. Working two more stitches in cream white color at 60 stitches begin to bind off stitches at armholes. First bind off 2 stitches on each end, work next row even, repeat binding off 2 stitches of end of next row and then one row even two more times leaving 48 stitches to knit. This should be about where the cream stripe measures 8 inches. Change back to Windsor Blue and work remaining cap of sleeve at 48 stitches for one inch more and then decrease one stitch on end of every row 6 times leaving 36 stitches. Work 2 rows more at 36, bind off.
Make two sleeves.

Body: Cast on 90 stitches with either 8 or 9 needle. Make Rib in Windsor Blue for 2 1/2 inches. Begin stockinette stitch and use size 9 needles and work for 1 1/2 more inches before changing to cream color yarn and while decreasing 8 stitches evenly spaced across 2nd row of work making 82 stitches to work until you reach the armholes. With cream work even on 82 stitches for 8 inches. Change to Windsor Blue and work 7 inches evenly. Bind off 2 stitches on each side and work for one more row before switching back to cream yarn. Work 1 1/2 inches before binding off 2 stitches on each side every other row, 3 time leaving 72 stitches to knit. Work one more inch before binding off for front neck 12 stitches. For each side shoulder keep binding off one stitch every other row until 20 stitches remain, hold at 20 stitches until the stripe of off white is 8 inches in size vertically. Create a 2 and 1/2 inch final stripe of Windsor blue before binding off.

For Back: Match the front until 72 stitches. At 72 stitches to knit make cream stripe 8 inches. Change to Windsor Blue and knit 2 inches before binding off neck. Bind off 26 stitches in center. This leaves 46 stitches, 23 on each side. Work each side by binding off one at neck edge three times, one on knit row, one on next purl row and then one on last knit row. Work even on twenty then bind off.

For rib collar: Cast on 84 stitches in the white color, work in 2 by 2 rib stitch. Create 3 inch band. Sew shoulders, sew sides and sleeve seam. Attach sleeves to body. Attach band to neckline by sewing one edge to neck and then fold this in half and secure the second edge to the inside of neck. Smooth and press firmly to shape.
